Join us for a few of the “Top 10” from the Baroque music hit parade! We start with Handel’s “Water Music” Suite #2. The music was written to be played by a crowd of musicians travelling on the Thames River in England on a barge, travelling beside King George I who was on another barge. King George thought the idea was “splendid”, and the music has been heard everywhere from TV shows to wedding ceremonies ever since! J.S. Bach’s “Orchestral Suite in D” follows (with the iconic “Air” which everybody knows), and the concert ends with another Handel favourite, the “Royal Fireworks Music” written for a special celebration, to accompany a huge fireworks display! We won’t have a river or fireworks, but you’ll love the music!
