Conductor Bio: Samuel Tak-Ho Tam

Samuel Tak-Ho Tam is a Canadian conductor and Music Director of the Rose Orchestra in Brampton, where he leads performances at the Rose Theatre and collaborates with regional choirs and young musicians. He has conducted widely in Ontario and has worked with the Royal Conservatory of Music’s Glenn Gould School and Taylor Academy, where he has served as assistant conductor, répétiteur, and instructor. Earlier in his career he was Apprentice Conductor with the Canadian Opera Company, assisting on numerous productions including Tosca, Eugene Onegin, La Bohème, and The Magic Flute. Tam holds a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Toronto and studied organ and conducting at McGill University. He is passionate about bringing great orchestral repertoire to new audiences.
